(Re)konstrukcje muzeum w kulturze współczesnej. Studium socjopedagogiczne

Wydział Studiów EdukacyjnychCelem pracy jest analiza potencjalnych i rzeczywistych funkcji muzeum w kontekście edukacji muzealnej na tle szeroko rozumianych przemian społeczno-kulturowych. Analiza ta przeprowadzona została zarówno na płaszczyźnie teoretycznej, jak i na podstawie badań empirycznych. Historia zachodniego muzealnictwa pokazuje, jak kształtowała się instytucja muzeum: od renesansowych prywatnych kolekcji, po muzea współczesne - multiinstrumentalne instytucje kultury, nauki, edukacji, rozrywki i ekonomii. Praca skupia się na zagadnieniach związanych z edukacją muzealną: muzeum jako miejsce edukacji (kształtowanie się oraz etapy rozwoju edukacji muzealnej), typy edukacji muzealnej, najważniejsze teorie i koncepcje edukacji muzealnej, praktyki edukacyjne w muzeach na świecie oraz w Polsce oraz pedagogiczne perspektywy rozwoju i roli edukacji muzealnej, w tym w konfrontacji z kulturą popularną. Celem pracy jest także analiza funkcjonowania tych instytucji w kontekście wybranych teorii społecznych, m.in. koncepcji władzy M. Foucaulta, koncepcji kapitału kulturowego P. Bourdieu, studiów postkolonialnych i feministycznych. Praca zwiera także studium przypadku Muzeum Ziemi Lubuskiej w Zielonej Górze. Opisana to została społeczno-kulturowa działalność oraz praktyka edukacyjna tej instytucji. Jednym z celów pracy jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób młodzi ludzie postrzegają społeczne i kulturowe funkcje muzeum. Wnioski z przeprowadzonych badań własnych, skoncentrowanych na poszukiwaniu odpowiedzi na tak sformułowany problem badawczy przedstawione zostały w ostatnim rozdziale pracy.The aim of the thesis is to analyze the potential and actual function of the museum in the context of museum education against the background of wider socio-cultural studies. This analysis was carried out on the basis of both the theoretical and empirical studies. The history of Western museology shows how the museum developed as an institution and what transformations it has undergone over the centuries, from the Renaissance private collections, to museums today, as multi-instrumental institution of culture, science, education, entertainment and economy. Thesis focuses on issues related to museum education: the formation process and the stages of development of museum education, the types of museum education, theories and concepts of museum education, educational practices in museums world-wide and in Poland, as well as educational prospects and the role of museum education. The thesis concentrated on describing both current developments of museum education, as well as on the role of museum education in confrontation with popular culture. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the functioning of these institutions in the context of selected social theories, including M. Foucault's concept of power, the concept of cultural capital P. Bourdieu, postcolonial and feminist studies. The thesis also contains a case study of Museum of Lubuska Land in Zielona Góra. One of the aims of the thesis was an attempt to answer the question: how young people perceive social and cultural functions of the museum. The conclusions of own research, focused on the above formulated research problem, have been presented in the last chapter of the work
